City club set to take the lead at show

A city dog training club is taking the lead at Crufts this year after show judges invited them to demonstrate their skills.
Members of Exeter Dog Training Club have been specially invited to take their pets to the show.
They will demonstrate their bronze training test to the crowds at the Birmingham NEC on Sunday March 9.
Two club members have also been picked to demonstrate the gold training test at the show this Friday and Sunday.
The tests are part of the Kennel Club's Good Citizen Scheme for pet dogs.
The Club, which meets at St Paul's Church in Wonford, uses the scheme to help people train their dogs and become responsible pet owners.
Club treasurer Jenny Osborne said "We are proud of the top class from whom the team members have been picked."
The Exeter Dog Training Club is open every Thursday night, from 7pm until 10pm. It has a membership fee and class charges.
