Annual Open Show

Exeter Dog Training Club is delighted to have been awarded Championship Obedience status. From 2012 our show will be one of 46 shows that include a Championship Class C (Obedience Certificate), sometimes referred to as a 'ticket' class. Winning this class will qualify a dog to compete at the Crufts the following year.  See the Kennel Club website for more information.

Please note that we are only accepting entries on the above entry form.  This can easily be completed on screen, and then printed and posted together with your payment.  Or if you prefer, you can print it and fill it in by hand.  We are currently unable to take bookings on-line.

All camping is off-site at a campsite near the venue for which we have exclusive use

Exeter Dog Training Club runs its annual two day Kennel Club licensed Open Obedience Show every May in Cullompton.  We also run a one day show on behalf of Paignton & District Fanciers Assocation (PDFA) at Westpoint in August.

In 2010, due to popular demand, we held our first ever two day show.  This arrangement is set to continue.

Our Show venue is the Cullompton Community Association's fields and Cullompton Rangers Football Club at Speed's Meadow in Cullompton.  Click for a map and directions to the Show venue.

If you are new to the sport of competitive obedience, or simply want to find out more, click here to view the Competitive Obedience FAQS.

We are very pleased to have continue our camping arrangements with Woodlands Farm, a few miles from the show venue.  Click here to link to the site entry on the Camping and Caravanning Club website.  Please do not contact the campsite directly - camping must be booked via the Entry Form.

Can you help?

The Show is made possible by the hard work of members, friends and families of both Exeter Dog Training Club and Cullompton Rangers Football Club.  Many hands make light work, so we are always on the look out for more helpers.  If you are able to help with any of the following, please contact us:

  • Setting up the venue (pitching tents, rings etc) on Friday 27 May.
  • Marshalling the venue on Saturday 28 and/or Sunday 29 May.
  • Stewarding on Saturday 28 and/or Sunday 29 May.
  • Packing away and clearing up after the show on Sunday 29 May.

No experience necessary - full training provided
