Press Release

New Venue for Dog Obedience Show
Exeter Dog Training Club’s annual Open Obedience Show is on Sunday 30th May 2004 at Cullompton Football Club.
The Kennel Club licensed Show has attracted almost 300 entries from competitors across the South West and a few from further afield. Handlers and their dogs will compete in one or more of ten classes, according to their previous level of achievement. Judges with considerable experience of competitive obedience will rate competitors’ performance in a number of exercises. Trophies will be awarded to the winners of each class.
In recent years this popular annual Show has been held at Westpoint. The move to Cullompton Football Club and the adjacent Cullompton Community Association fields will provide the event with more space and facilities. A big bonus will be the on-site catering provided for officials, helpers and participants by Cullompton Football Club Committee and their families.
Exeter Dog Training Club Chairman Barbara Tanton said “We are delighted to have found a new venue for our Show. It has been a pleasure to work with the Football Club and the Community Association. If things go to plan we hope that the Show could become an annual fixture at this venue.”
